Woodford County Health Department
Prevent. Promote. Protect.
Pediatrics
The services we provide to families with children are near and dear to our hearts, and we strive to ensure that all children living in Woodford County have access to the vital services they need for optimal health and development. In addition to immunizations, we make referrals to our HANDS Program, enroll eligible women and children in WIC, provide age-appropriate health education, and offer dental varnishes. If you need additional services that we are unable to provide, we recommend talking to your primary care physician. If you do not have a primary care physician, we are happy to refer you to one of the excellent providers here in Woodford County.
Eligibility for our programs is determined by the following criteria:
-
The Medicaid Program pays for pediatric services if the individual has Medicaid.
-
The cost of the service for individuals that do not have Medicaid is subject to a sliding fee based on income.
-
Private insurance is not accepted.
-
Income is assessed to determine the cost of services.
-
If an individual is currently receiving preventive healthcare from another provider, the patient will be referred back to that provider.
-
If a patient is not currently receiving preventive health care from another provider, preventive health care referrals will be offered..
-
We will make referrals for any child in need of health interventions that we are unable to provide.
