  • If no symptoms, stay home 5 full days from date of test.
  • Continue to wear a well fitted mask around others for 5 additional days.
  • If you have a fever, continue to stay home until the fever resolves.

Close Contact Not Fully Vaccinated or Unvaccinated

(Not fully vaccinated means: Eligible for booster but not had booster yet)

If you have been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 you will need to quarantine for 10 full days from the last date of exposure to the positive person. Quarantine may be shortened to 5 full days if you have NO symptoms and test negative on or after day 5 of quarantine and wear a mask around others for 10 days.
If you become symptomatic at any point, please get tested.

Close Contact Fully Vaccinated with Booster (or fully vaccinated but not booster eligible)

Not booster eligible means:

  • All children ages 5-11 that have had both Pfizer vaccines.
  • Anyone ages 12 -17 that had their 2nd Pfizer vaccine within the last 5 months.
  • Anyone age 18 and older that had their 2nd Moderna or Pfizer vaccine within the last 5 months.
  • Anyone age 18 and older that had their one shot J&J within the last 2 months.

The above categories of people are not eligible for a booster and are considered “up-to-date”.
If you have been in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case, and you meet one of the criteria above, you do not have to quarantine but must wear a well-fitted mask for 10 days after exposure and seek testing on day 5, if possible, especially if symptoms develop.
